Ristorante Cafe Raffaello in Donauworth

Too bad. Seldom experienced such bad, impolite and annoyed service. The waiter (male, a little older) also only wore his mask over his mouth. Distance regulation and registration of guests due to corona protection regulations were completely ignored. Conclusion: guests undesirable and the gentleman has missed his job!

The outdoor area in particular is in a great location and invites you to linger. No matter whether you have an ice cream sundae or a cool summer drink, you can sit there. In terms of cuisine, a solid Italian is presented.

I ordered pasta there and thought it was okay, and the reservation went smoothly. Ambience was okay too.

After 45 minutes of waiting, we did not have any condition even though we raised our hands several times. We were only noticed after calling him. A waste of time and money in my eyes.

Correction based on the answer from Ristorante Raffaello in Donauwörth: We went to dinner at "Il Casale" in Donauwörth today (they belong together) - the review will be left there again. The boss (?) Assigned us the place without a word. Came with the menu after 10 minutes and then took the order after several requests and another 15 minutes without a word. We received the drinks 45 minutes after entering the restaurant. The food had been in the hatch for a few minutes before it was brought to our table. The waitress (boss) rarely wore the face mask over their mouth, but I never saw them over my mouth and nose. The restaurant was full and cramped. I was not feeling well. The food was really tasty, but the service was just plain bad. A real shame !!!

This restaurant has the privilege of being in a great location in the middle of the city. Unfortunately, it is therefore completely overrated. The staff is rude and incompetent. Cheeky sayings that no guest wants / should hear. Eat mediocre with plenty of room for improvement. When I read the comments from the owner regarding criticism, I am not surprised. Addendum: Owners are not intelligent enough to get the idea that reviews don't have to be made on the exact same day they visit their restaurant :-D. incredible...

Reservation worked smoothly over the phone. Two tables were put together on arrival and the six of us could take a seat. A plus point was definitely the friendly and very attentive service. Unfortunately, the gentleman said it would be his last day there - a shame! The selection of food and drinks is quite large. Everything about German and Italian cuisine. The food itself was okay. Since the restaurant is in a good location, the ambience is also quite nice. Since I am not from the area, I will not take the trip again to eat there

I was here with a friend three years ago when we were cycling the Romantic Road to Füssen. A MUST have a look again with my husband today. Great location, super friendly staff and the food: good selection and delicious. Also ice cream ..... 😋 Definitely go if you're around.

I went to eat here today with my family for my birthday. We have been coming here for many years and have always been very satisfied thanks to the friendly and personal service and the delicious food. Today we found out that a good restaurant has clearly lost quality for us due to unfriendly (boss .. waiter?) And superficial staff. What a shame..... Good food isn't everything.

Very nicely located on a small stream with attentive service. Good menu, but without many special features. Huge portions.

My spaghetti order was lost, but they apologized in an exemplary manner and the 2nd specialty was on the house. Keeps her composure even when the house is full. Big fat thumbs up.

Food should be 5 stars... delicious meal everytime we visited this resto.. i rated 2 stars for the service we had encountered last time whom the waiter told us that the table we're going to is reserved even without a reserved notice. And didn't even bother to assist us to where should be a vacant table. He just went ahead as if nothing happen.. We are so embarrassed and all we have to do is leave the resto for we felt there was no space for us.. sad but true.

Great pizzas that you can customize. I had the one with salami and mushrooms, and I could add some gorgonzola on top. They were generous with it. Pretty amazing. Service was quick and very friendly and there are amazing views of the little Wörnitz and the pretty pink gate of Donauwörth. I'd go here again and probably order the exact same.

Hands down one of my top three favorite restaurants in the world. My husband has been taking me here every time we visit his family in Germany for the last six years. Usually during our month long stay, we’ll visit Cafe Raffaello at least 5 times. We have never had a negative experience. The restaurant is always so clean and looks beautiful especially around the holidays. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry most of my life and have never seen a restaurant handle peak service hours as flawlessly as they do here. Despite the massive amount of guests they serve, they have remembered us when we come back to restaurant during our German vacations and always have an English menu ready for me. Their food was phenomenal when we were vegetarians and I was so worried we wouldn’t be able to find anything to eat since we became vegans, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the options. The warm vegetable platter was one of the most delicious plates I’ve had anywhere. I absolutely love this restaurant and cannot wait to visit again as soon as I get back to Bavaria!
